Accusing the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing to fulfill election promises, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi highlighted the plight of farmers on Friday, growing pulses and assured his party workers that the grand old party will fight together to take Uttar Pradesh to the top.
“Modiji focuses on the richest man, while the Congress Party focuses on the poorest man. Congress is fighting to change the lives of the people of Uttar Pradesh. We are fighting to form the government in Uttar Pradesh. We are not here to merely increase seats.
The Congress Party and each and every hardworking, energetic Congress worker here wants Uttar Pradesh to become the No.1 state once again. That’s our goal. We will fight together and will it to the top spot. Party will fight with a plan,” Gandhi said while addressing his party workers in Lucknow.
