Maestro Ilayaraja is currently busy scoring music for various films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. Over the years, he has selected the perfect singer for any given song. We hear that now he has reintroduced the popular Carnatic singer Sudha Raghunathan by making her sing in one of his films.
She would be singing a song for Kannada-Telugu bilingual which is titled as Idolle Ramayana in Kannada and Manavoori Ramayana in Telugu. The bilingual is being directed by Prakash Raja.
She has recorded a classic number that is based on many ragas. It was Ilaiyaraja who introduced the classical singer in R.Parthiepan’s Ivan in the year 2002. She had sung three classical numbers in that album. After a gap of 14 years, she returns to Tamil cinema.
