Govt launches toll-free number 14444 to assist you in making digital payments

The effort to educate people and provide the required support for people as part of its campaign to get people switch to cashless transactions, NITI Aayog, in association with Nasscom and telecom operators, has set up a dedicated toll-free helpline number ‘14444’ to promote digital transactions.

“Nasscom, telecom operators, along with NITI Aayog, created a helpline 14444 for addressing all queries on digital payments,” said NITI Ayog.

“The helpline will assist people at the first level to zero in on the option which is most suitable for them, depending on the availability of feature phone, Aadhaar number and bank account of the person,” IT body Nasscom President R Chandrashekar had said.

Earlier this month, to educate people on digital transactions, Ministry of Electronics and IT launched free-to-air channel DigiShala which will be available on Doordarshan’s DTH platform and ‘CashlessIndia’ website to educate people about digital transactions.
