The Demise of AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa, a majority of party leaders are of the opinion that Sasikala Natarajan should take charge as the party general secretary. However, some believe that Sasikala is a wrong person to be nominated as the party chief. Protests against Sasikala have also started to spread in the form of posters and social media posts.
In view of handling the dissents in social media, the AIADMK has planned to make 40 short films depicting Jayalalithaa’s life and her accomplishments as a person and as a leader. Short films will be released in social media.
Tamil Nadu IT Department South Chennai administrator Raghavendra Rao (Royal Raja) told The Hindu (Tamil): “We are preparing short films depicting Jayalalithaa’s life, achievements, efforts taken for women empowerment and welfare of Tamil people. We have hundreds of video files, out of which select videos will be used to make short films. We will post HD quality films in Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc.”
“It will be difficult for people to watch lengthy movies, so we have decided to cut it short and release them. Our team is preparing for defending speculations spread out by opposition parties in social media and to fix confusions among our party cadre,” he said.
