Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Thomas Chandy has resigned as Transport Minister in the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) Cabinet in Kerala.
The decision on NCP leader and Transport Minister Thomas Chandy will be taken at an appropriate time, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. While talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Pinarayi said they are awaiting NCP’s stance too.
This is the first time the CM is commenting on the issue. “I have received information that the High Court dismissed his plea against the District Collector. The details of the order are awaited,” he said.
NCP state president T P Peethambaran Master will meet the press at 1.45 pm. The NCP national leadership gave its consent for the resignation during talks with the state leaders.
